The Atlanta Creative Native
Overview

1.Your Instagram bio highlights multiple creative roles—photographer, model, designer, and creative director. Which of these identities do you feel represents you the most, and why?

[Groovy] Well I think all three of those things are just smaller parts of being an artist. Like I associate myself with all of those things and then like I kinda don’t cause they all part of the bigger picture

2.How does your work in visual arts allow you to explore and express your individuality?

[Groovy] I’m able to really just try stuff honestly in my work and just explore new ways of making art whenever I choose to. This really allows me to create in my own way and even have my own creative style in others work

3.You’re the face behind @Groovy_Studios and @ParadigmCinema. Can you share the inspiration and vision behind these projects?

[Groovy] So groovy studios is like my base of really cultivating my talents and just to freely explore. Paradigm Cinema is the same but with more cinema work and it’s a group with me and 3 of my creative homies

4.With over 17K followers, how has social media impacted your career as a creative? Do you feel it’s a blessing or a double-edged sword?

[Groovy] Social media has had me believe I was more famous and doing shit than I thought I was. It has also made making connections so much easier and just flow. I think it’s a double edge sword if you don’t practice balance and boundaries

5.Many of your posts have a striking, almost cinematic aesthetic. What draws you to this style, and how does it align with your artistic philosophy?

[Groovy] I like making art that really kinda grabs my attention and don’t let go so that’s how I think when Im creating. I love a great striking scene. Be it a painting, a photo, a movie

6.How do you balance your creative pursuits while staying authentic to your artistic voice in an industry that often pushes trends?

[Groovy] I keep my balance by staying true by just doing the work I think like great/ works. Not saying that trends are bad and you should never do them but always keeping that same artistic language in your work will overcome trends and make the trends be executed better

7.What does a perfect collaboration look like to you? Are there any dream partnerships or brands you aspire to work with?

[Groovy] A perfect collaboration for me would be to work with solange or Childish gambino. That can be over an art collection, photos, movies, music, whatever they want to work on Im down to work them any day. I don’t know if I have a brand I been dreaming about to work with. Maybe like do a shoot for Rick Owens in my art style would be dope

8.Your feed suggests a passion for pushing boundaries in storytelling and design. Can you share a project that challenged you and helped you grow as an artist?

[Groovy] So, my production team first project was a short film that took about 7 months to shoot. That whole time was an eye opener. I had to act in it and direct and just help be in charge of a set. It was different but felt so like natural. I think after that I viewed all projects I worked on differently.

9.What advice would you give to aspiring artists trying to establish their creative identity and presence in such a competitive industry?

[Groovy] Have fun, be an artist and try thing and explore. Someone is definitely seeing your work. This process is a journey and there is enough money and opportunities for all of us in this industry, just have to wait and keep getting better so you are prepared for when it is your time

10.What’s next for Braxton Prince? Any exciting projects or directions you’re looking forward to exploring in 2025?

[Groovy] Expect an art collection from me. Been working on that for some time and working on films and these different ideas that I feel like it’s time to make them happen
